Rethinking Cancer Staging

New Imaging Technology Monitors HER2 Protein: "The research team first used the radiolabeled Affibody molecule to visualize tumors that expressed HER2 in mice. The mice were injected under the skin with human breast cancer cells that varied in their levels of HER2 expression, from no expression to very high expression. After three to five weeks, when tumors had formed, the mice were injected with the Affibody molecule and PET images were recorded. The levels of HER2 expression as determined by PET were consistent with the levels measured in surgically removed samples of the same tumors using established laboratory techniques."

This will completely change staging for cancer. I dont say that lightly and in fact I think it is an understatement.

In Poll, Wide Support for Government-Run Health - NYTimes.com

It think this is a landmark moment. I think the public still needs to do their homework on a number of issues as the responses to the survey in many cases appear uninformed.
It looks like now is the time to have the discussion about healthcare.

Sync G1 like PMP w/ Songbird

Hey folks,
courtesy of our friends at songbird and all the open source contributors out there making great extensions like FolderSync, you can now sync your favorite playlists from songbird to your android phone.

Steps:
1) Connect your G1 via USB and mount it as a drive in ubuntu
2) Open songbird and add the foldersync extension
3) Restart Songbird and using the foldersync extension, select a playlist of yours and chose the sync location. I recommend picking the highest rated default list first and then syncing it to a music folder on your sd card that is plugged into your G1.
4) unmount and listen on the go!
